Version of V1.1

Delivery Method

Main Form
This is the main form that opens automatically when you open the program. All of the permits are displayed on top, with the inspections associated with each permit in the subform below. To locate a permit, select the jurisdiction (township, city, etc.) to narrow it down and then the permit desired. There is virtually no limit to the number of jurisdictions, permits, inspections, etc. you can enter.

The green fields indicate you can double-click on the field to open a pop-up form where you can add data to the lists or edit addresses, etc. You enter your own data that is useful to you. A red indicator will notify you if you scroll to a record where the contractor's license has expired.

Reports
Select the report to view from the drop-down list. Double-click on the selection field to rename a report to something more meaningful to you, or hide it if you will never have use for it. There are numerous reports available, some available in slightly different formats, so after you have entered a few records you will want to go through and select the ones that fit your needs.

Set Default Values
To increase your efficiency, you may set certain fields to have default values already filled in for you upon entering new records. There are also a couple of customizable fields.

Purging Records
You have the ability to delete records from the database with a certain status, for a certain jurisdiction, with an issue date or expiration date prior to the one you enter, or delete all records. The file may come to you with a couple of sample records to more quickly help you become familiar with the system.

System Requirements
The program is available for PC only and requires Microsoft Access. For older versions, Advanced Wizards must also be installed (Linked Table Manager). There is a possibility of a future version that will come with a run-time version of Access.

Security
You may receive a security warning the first or each time you open the program regarding code intended to harm your computer. You may select Open if you trust it has come directly from me. This is because I have not purchased a digital certificate for you to verify. I personally promise I have not created anything malicious.

Feedback
Within the program is a feedback form, which you may submit if desired. No personal information is collected other than your email address used to send the feedback.

Download a Demo!
This fully-functional demo will accommodate five permits, enough for you to give it a test drive. It is in Access 2003 format, which will work fine on 2007 as well. For simplicity you can use the standard demo first which is just one file that does not require you to link tables, but it is recommended that you try out the other as well so you know ahead of time if you need to install the additional wizards (Or just go to Tools->Database Utilities->Linked Table Manager to see if the feature needs to be installed for Acess 2003).

InspecTrackerDB v1.0 Beta Demo
InspecTrackerDB v1.0 Beta Demo with table linking required - After extracting, open the .mde file. You will be prompted that the tables could not be found. Go to Tools->Database Utilities->Linked Table Manager, Select All, click on Always Prompt for New Location, OK, and locate the _be.mdb data file. You may have to close and reopen the .mde file, or hold down the Shift key when opening it for the first time in order to relink the files.
